Last night we had a beautiful baby girl. Actually beautiful. I don't think I've ever seen a cute newborn before, but she somehow managed to be perfect. She had the same red hair that I had when I was born, with an adorable little Bill nose and a little pout that made me cry. She was 9 pounds and 12 ounces. We called her Laura. The umbilical cord had managed to wrap around her neck four times, and she is now keeping her grandpa company in heaven. I wish we'd had a chance to share her with all of you. I know she is loved by you though you never got to meet her. Lots of love to you as well.

  2. That was beautiful Al, she sounds just as amazing as I knew she would be.
Your little angel will be watching over you and she knows how incredibly loved she was by her mom and dad and everyone in their lives.

    Love you so much xoxo

  3. It sounds like she was perfect. When I had heard the news I thought exactly the same thing: That Laura is in heaven with her grandpa...that is wonderful. I love little Laura more than I had expressed to "Little" in that note I wrote to in what seems like forever ago now.
