It ain't fair, you died too young,
Like a story that had just begun,
But death tore the pages all away.
God knows how I've missed you,
All the hell that I've been through,
Just knowing no one could take your place;
Sometimes I wonder who you'd be today.

Laura
We chose Laura for Little House. That's who our baby girl would have been. Obviously not Laura Ingalls exactly, but her hair would have eventually turned brown, and I would have put it up in little braids. Even though I dressed her up in little dresses, she would have run off to play in the mud and muck to climb trees. She would have been an adventurer. A brown-haired and beautiful, tomboyish adventurer. Full of charm and spunk and mostly love. That's why we chose the name Laura.
It's like that Ricky Valence song:
Tell Laura I love her
Tell Laura I need her
Tell Laura not to cry
My love for her will never die.

Last night we had a beautiful baby girl. Actually beautiful. I don't think I've ever seen a cute newborn before, but she somehow managed to be perfect. She had the same red hair that I had when I was born, with an adorable little Bill nose and a little pout that made me cry. She was 9 pounds and 12 ounces. We called her Laura. The umbilical cord had managed to wrap around her neck four times, and she is now keeping her grandpa company in heaven. I wish we'd had a chance to share her with all of you. I know she is loved by you though you never got to meet her. Lots of love to you as well.

I didn't bother with week 32 pictures, as that is when I did photos with Ashley, which you all saw on facebook, I'm sure. Haven't grown much since, so this is a photoless post. In fact, I went to the dr on Monday and it turns out I've lost a couple of pounds in the last week. More importantly, Baby's head is down (very low down, actually, which should take some time off of labor), and ready to come out when told. This means that, though it could still be a while, it is likely that it will not be a late baby. Hope everybody is ready, we only have three and a half weeks to go!

Baby Bump Week 28
I realized the other day that it has been a while since I posted and it is time for some updated pictures! So I took some, but I keep forgetting to upload them to my computer. Maybe I will do that now. . .
Here they are!

You may notice that I am wearing the same shirt in the majority of these baby bump photos. This is what the books tell me I should do, in order that you may get a comparison that is as accurate as possible. I don't actually just wear the same shirt every day. Sometimes I wash it.
